How I got here.

I spent 15 years in hospitality and front-of-house management before I ever touched a webhook. Running shifts in high-volume restaurants taught me how to think in systems, edge cases, and recovery procedures — which turned out to be exactly what good automation requires.

I started building automations in early 2024 because I needed them for my own work. Lead generation, contract handling, follow-up sequences. The deeper I went, the clearer it became that I liked the building more than the business around it.

So now I'm here, looking for a full-time role where the building is the point.

What separates good automation from fragile automation.

01.

I design workflows before I build them.

Every system starts as a diagram, not a node. Trigger, data shape, branches, error states. Building without a map produces spaghetti that nobody can debug six months later.

02.

I expect things to break and plan for it.

APIs go down. Webhooks misfire. Data arrives malformed. Every workflow I ship has explicit error branches, retries, and alerts — not silent failures the team finds out about three weeks later.

03.

Reliability beats cleverness.

The fanciest workflow that breaks once a week is worse than the boring one that never breaks. I optimize for systems people can trust without thinking about, not for impressive-looking node graphs.

04.

Idempotent by default.

Workflows should be safe to run twice. I check for existing records before creating, and design data models that survive re-runs without producing duplicate contacts, double-charges, or corrupted reports.

05.

Document like you'll forget.

Sticky notes inside n8n, plus an external doc explaining the business logic. The next person to touch the workflow — including future me — should understand it without asking.

The role.

I'm looking for a full-time role where I can own workflows, improve systems, and reduce manual work across teams. Title is flexible — the work is what matters.

Marketing Operations Build the funnel infrastructure marketing actually runs on.
Automation Specialist Own the workflow stack across departments.
RevOps Keep the data clean and the handoffs smooth.
CRM Administrator Make the CRM work the way the business actually works.

Best fit: profitable, mid-sized SaaS or post-funding stable. Remote-first. Either an established team I can join, or a growing GoHighLevel agency that needs someone to own automation top to bottom.

The tools that come up every week.
